The Call Centre's main job is to deal with business clients through voice calls. It is a centralized department to which phone calls from current and potential customers are directed. Call centres can handle inbound and/or outbound calls, and be located either within a company or outsourced to another company that specializes in handling calls.

KPO is a knowledge process outsourcing. KPO provides knowledge-based services like medical billing, documentation or claiming insurance. While BPO is totally customer service oriented.

5. What is the difference between inbound and outbound calling?

 

Inbound calling refers to a call center process where the calls are incoming whereas outbound calling is when the call center employees make calls as well. Customer support is a good example of an inbound process whereas most sales calls are outbound.
