The incumbent would be part of the Enterprise Data Strategy team based in Gurgaon. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting detailed analysis on internal data and third-party vendor data to drive the data strategy in New Accounts, Customer Management, Collection and Fraud models and strategy for Global Consumer/Commercial business. Band 30 analyst will be responsible for data analysis to challenge the status quo, identifying use cases for leveraging external data and will serve as a critical point for exploration of new data opportunities in Consumer/Commercial. The Analyst will support the team in managing data rationalization, transformation, exploration, inbound/outbound bureau reporting product management and policy.

How will you make an impact in this role

  • Drive data strategy leveraging traditional and alternate source across the customer lifecycle through structured and risk-based principles
  • Interacting and collaborating with partners across multiple lines of business including credit risk, fraud risk, market risk, capabilities, compliance, operations, outbound bureau governance (OBG) to develop, implement and optimize the data strategies, inbound/outbound reporting and policy management
  • Be responsible for data mining, analytics, research, and capability development supporting regulated data (e.g. credit bureau information) and non-regulated data (e.g. aggregated or vertically compiled) to support Change Management, Operational Risk Events, and Strategic Decisions.
  • Evaluate new internal and external data sources like bank statement, financials, merchant data, credit bureau, Insurance, Firmographics, digital, etc. to improve risk models/strategies
  • Working with GSM, External Data Partners and Capability teams for final data negotiation, contracting and integration

 

 

  • Preferred Qualification -
  • 0-3 years of experience in analytics or credit risk or policy governance
  • Strong data handling and ability to apply statistical / quantitative techniques and methods to drive business results
  • Exposure to decision science and predictive modeling would be a plus
  • Masters Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics Computer Science or Economics) from a top tier institute
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, project management and structured problem solving skills with proficiency in SAS/Python, SQL, HIVE EXCEL
