• Monitoring the backup in Symantec net backup.
• State details status code of the backup
• Start time elapsed time of the backup.
• Check the retention period of the backup
• Policy Creation based on the OS-Windows Unix
• Throughput size of the backup.
• Maintaining the media tapes for the bkp - IN OUT
• Updating the IN OUT Details in Vertices.

Monitoring the backup in EMC Networker

• Status of the bkp
• Initiate the backups as per the schedule.
• Labeling the media tapes for the bkp
• Maintaining the media tapes for the bkp - IN OUT
• Updating the IN OUT Details in Vertices.
• Generating readability logs for the Legato daily backups

Weekly basis

• Load Labeling the media tapes for weekly backups
• Generating the readability logs for Veritas daily backups.
• Raise follow the Incident ticket for net backup related errors.
• Co-ordinate with the respective team to trouble shoot the errors.
• Restoration is done as per the request approvals
• Segregate the media tapes in Tape Library based on the retention period.
• Co-ordinate with the respective team for DB creation in ADMDBASE
• Might include travelling.

Monthly basis

• Generating the readability logs for Legato month end backups
• Generating the readability logs for Veritas month end backups
• 10 10 Years retention period tapes are moved to WIMS Chennai
• 10 10 Years retention period tapes are moved to Mumbai
• Load Labeling the media tapes for month end backups
• Creating Clear the move list for the movement tapes.
• Quarterly basis reconciliation on Onsite tapes.
• Annual basis reconciliation on Onsite tapes.
