As an Electric Power (EP) Digital Sales Representative you will be responsible for enabling services growth by driving value for our customers, dealers and business partners through additional connected assets in your region (Asia Pacific). You are the single point of contact for dealers and customers into the EP Digital Services team. You will manage all EP Digital Services initiatives including: 2G/3G Obsolescence, increasing factory fit activation rate and exceeding our connected asset goals, while driving value for customers.

Consult with dealers and customers to market and sell Caterpillar digital technologies. Leverage technology application knowledge and influence skills to challenge customers, demonstrate customer benefits of Caterpillar telematics, improve closure rates, and improve sales force effectiveness. Provide training to dealers and customers as well as bring critical VOC VOD back to the enterprise.

  • Travel up to 50% of the time (Within Asia Pacific region)
  • Develop and execute regional digital go to market strategies
  • Use insight and consultative selling techniques to teach customers, offering unique perspectives on their business, which link back to EP Digital Services offerings
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure consistent messaging to customers and gather voice of customer information. Collaborate and support industry prime product and product support sales teams.
  • Provide market input to key internal business partners by collecting voice of customer from regional field teams and dealers
  • Lead analysis of industry key competitors regional strengths, weaknesses, and marketing tactics.
  • Collaborate with and support Cat dealers, industry sales, product support sales, and digital technology teams. Support dealer development, providing training and sharing best practices with dealer PSSRs, sales reps, and connectivity specialists.
  • Support field follow of new products, technologies, and customer solutions.
  • Support dealer and Caterpillar reps with customer visits, training and sales calls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of professional experience
  • Prior dealer facing, Electric Power or digital experience

Additional Skills for Success

  • Experience within Electric Power
  • Previous field experience (Prime Product Sales, Aftermarket, etc)
  • Demonstrated ability to sell technology, subscriptions, apps, or software directly to customers
  • Individuals trained in solutions selling or value selling
  • Communicate effectively with others in the work group, dealer personnel and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
