The Strategic Sourcing Deployment Lead is responsible for assisting our customers with the design and deployment of their SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solutions. As functional experts, they will help lead the customer in the design, build, testing and deployment of their software solution and associated business processes while providing project planning and management services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deployment responsibilities include assisting customers throughout the various phases of Aribas solution deployment.
  • Deployment leads will assist with all aspects of a deployment including (but not limited to): process configuration, documenting current and future process flows and business rule configuration, user interface configuration, external system integration (if required), user and supplier set-up, training and project management.
  • To act as a liaison between the customer and various groups within Ariba such as Technical Support, Sales, Engineering, and Product Management.
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction during the successful deployment of solutions.
  • The Deployment Lead establishes credibility as a conduit for solutions expertise with customers and is seen as an expert by customers (e.g., positive customer feedback).
  • Builds solution, customer, and industry knowledge by leveraging the appropriate resources (internally at Ariba and externally at the client).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in any stream
  • MBA is preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience of 0-3 years having strong project/customer management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Proven problem solving skills demonstrated through professional experience
  • Medium/Expert level functional knowledge on Sourcing, Contract Management, Supplier Management, Procure to Pay (Buying & Invoicing), Invoice Management.
  • Medium/Expert level knowledge of ERP systems and Procurement processes
  • Experience travelling to a customer site to facilitate meetings, trainings, workshops, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, utilize and train customers on systems, features and functionality for relevant products/solutions
  • Willingness and ability to lead and implement process improvements
  • Willingness to work in Night Shifts 6 PM to 3 AM IST

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Advanced Microsoft office (ability to demonstrate and use office features to enhance customer experience)
  • Strong understanding of the procurement life cycle and the value proposition of all Ariba upstream solutions
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments, and may provide guidance to other personnel
  • Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May supervise the activities of others
  • Preferred technical knowledge but not mandatory ; cXML, HTML, SQL
