Team Overview

The position in discussion is with the Canada Tax team at KPMG Global Services (KGS). This role is an integral part of the firms strategy to enhance innovation, build scalability, and improve profitability globally.

Roles and Responsibilities

We are recruiting for the Associate 1 position in the Canada Tax for Assurance team with subject matter expertise in General Accounting Knowledge and various Accounting Practices. Working as Associate 1 in this team, your responsibilities will include:

Helps to finalize books and accounts for KPMG corporate, Partnership and Trust clients. This includes drafting and analyzing on financial records - such as Balance sheet, Income and expenditure and Cashflow statements and related schedules and notes

Draft corporate tax returns and tax planning. This includes to determine clients' refunds, or the amount of taxes owed.

Provide day to day support to Senior Associates and Assistant Managers to assist with the delivery of client deliverables includes Financial statements and Tax returns.

Develops knowledge of Canada Corporate tax legislations

Draft client correspondence documents (emails, letters, reports etc.) at relevant points throughout the compliance cycle.

Demonstrates strong commitment to personal learning and development; acts as a brand ambassador to help attract top talent.

Job Requirements

Mandatory Skills

Minimum Master Degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting or Finance

Strong tax accounting skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).

Basic knowledge in Indian direct and indirect taxation.

Preferred Skills
