As part of AI Apps expert labs , you will have the opportunity to be part of a team of IBM experts and deliver expert service to clients on cross industry use cases.
As an IBM Sterling B2B-MFT practitioner, you would be required to continuosly learn and upgrade your skillset and apply/use your strong product, domain, solution, technical and consulting expertise with IBM Sterling B2B-MFT suite of offerings, to help customers worldwide - during solution definition, design, implementation, validation, go-live, warranty phases as well as support enablement, proof of concepts (pre-sales) and critical support situations.
Responsibilities:
As an IBM Sterling B2B-MFT Consultant, you will:
- Review and understand the client as-is situation, pain points and speicfic needs/requirements
- Work independently or with a team
- Design a high level solution. Document the design approach
- Install, config and customize the solution
- Support validation and deployment (on-prem or cloud)
- Analyze and resolve issues - working with Product Support, if needed
- Assist with upgrades, migrations, health checks, performance tuning etc activities
- Develop the breadth and depth of expertise around IBM Sterling B2B portfolio. Keep abreast of changes in roadmap, documentation, new roll outs, features
- Help achieve Client Satisfaction and Client Success measured via Quality of outcomes, Engagement, Client feedback and NPS
- Work with internal squads to develop and adopt best practices, share knowledge, create and reuse assets, work on stretch/innovation projects
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Strong IBM Sterling B2B Product and Domain expertise
- 0.5 to 3 years of strong, hands-on experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator
- 0 to 3 years of strong, hands-on experience with Managed File Transfer suite
- (IBM Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Secure Proxy, Sterling External Authenitication Server, Connect:Direct, Sterling Control Center)
- Strong Map and business process development
- Sound knowledge of EDI data and compliance standards: X12, EDIFACT, ODETTE, SWIFT, HIPPA etc in Financial Services, Healthcare, Automotive domains
- Sound knowledge of Communication protocols: FTP/SFTP/AS2; Certificates & Encryption (PGP)
- Solution, Consulting and Domain skills
- Familiarity with Requirements Analysis, Implementation, Validation/Testing, Go-live, Post go-live assistance
- Familiarity with Upgrades and Migrations, Deployments (on-premise or cloud, legacy or containerized)
- Familiar with Agile delivery practices and tools
- Able to work independently as an SME, or under the guidance of Architect/Lead or IBM SME if assigned
- Hands-on experience with Install and Config, Enviroment setup, apply ifixes and patches
- Expereinced engaging Product Support/Engineering for raising/resolving product issues
- Strong Technology Expertise
- Programming: Java, XML, XSLT, XPath, JSON, JavaScript
- Operating Systems: Linux/RHEL, Unix, Windows & Scripting. Optional: z/OS
- Databases: DB2, SQL Server, Oracle
- Familiarity with Cloud Computing: AWS/Azure/GCP/OCI/IBM Cloud Containerization Docker/Kubernetes
- Familiarity with: DevOps and CI/CD toolchain
- General skills
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, articulation, client-handling skills coupled with project/ team leading abilities
- Good communication skills - being proactive about weekly status, update on issues or defects or any communication or documentation that is required
- Prepapre and provide client presentations including demos as per project requirement
- Possess innovative mindset. Keen to explore, learn new things and share/apply them to solve problems

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Awareness of IBM Sterling Global Mailbox, Partner Engagement Manager, IBM Transformation Extended/Advanced and REST APIs
- Exposure to Solution Assessments, Health Checks, Build & Release, Administration & Onboarding support, Performance Tuning, Capacity planning etc
- Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, IBM Cloud Paks
- Readiness to prepare content and deliver training to ecosystem, as needed
