Description
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform all procurement and contracting activities including execution of statements of work, category management, spot negotiation and closure of contracts to obtain optimal total cost of ownership (cost, service, quality).
- Assist in developing and implementing a category strategy.
- Develop expert knowledge on Global Procurement’s policies and procedures.Develop and continually strengthen knowledge of respective markets, competitors and product innovations.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a supplier performance program for key strategic suppliers within the Marketing category.
- Provide periodic reporting for management on Procurement activities and savings.
- Execute purchase orders with suppliers that fall within your spend threshold.
- Conduct business review meetings with key stakeholders to assess risk, review future strategies, and identify potential areas of improvement.
- Utilize purchasing card (when possible) to complete purchasing transactions.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of purchasing card transactions within CAR.
Internal / External Communication:
- Build working relationships internally with constituents across BMC.
- Build and maintain working relationships with suppliers.
- Consult with appropriate subject matter experts on supplier agreements.
- Work closely with all necessary BMC stakeholders in order to fully understand their needs from Procurement.
Qualifications:
- 0 to 2 years of experience providing support in Procurement/Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain domain.
- Ability to work under pressure in a continually changing environment.
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professional tact.
- Good verbal and written communication skills and excellent customer service skills.
- Good attitude & team player
- Ready to learn & ability to multi-task
- Working experience on Oracle Purchasing and Procurement module preferred
