Job Description

Scope of Responsibility

• Develop business understanding of data and brainstorm on developing data metrics to quantify consistency, quality and stability for existing or new data
• Do exploratory work to identify patterns in data and derive meaningful information to drive business decisions
• Work with analyzing voluminous amounts of data through new generation technologies Trading data, fixed income data, high frequency data, etc.
• Automation of data quality diagnostics by developing automated diagnostics using tools like Python and MATLAB. Ability to analyze data using SQL
• Use various techniques available in statistics, quantitative finance, etc. to generate insights into data and present findings to internal and external teams
• Evaluate new generation techniques through quantitative /statistics basics for data quality certification and anomaly detection
• Provide recommendations through concise marketing materials in presentations, conference calls
• Develop standardized templates to document data methodology, or Data Service Agreement for both internal and external clients.
   

Specific Knowledge/Skills

• Application of statistical/mathematical methods in analyzing data. Knowledge of PYTHON or R are must have (Python preferred)
• Practical understanding of data analytics and application of quantitative techniques on data
• Are an independent worker who is able to drive certain parts of the work with minimal oversight
  Desired Experience
• Have inclination to work on large data sets and come up with creative solutions on data analytics
• Good communication skills (written and oral) and proficiency in creating presentations.

Desired Qualifications

 Candidates having Statistics / Engineering background and having strong interest or work experience in Finance Stocks, capital markets, bonds, alternate asset classes

Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis
