The Role

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operational base load support: loading/managing subsurface and well data (well data, well logs and well documents; core data; seismic data (tapes and processed data) to and within corporate and project databases
• Responding to the Sub-Surface & Wells data team / end-user requests e.g. resolving data quality issues through proactive daily monitoring of Data Quality queries, reactive identification of data issues or provision of data sets to the stakeholders / government
• Participation in the elements of Data Projects where execution can be performed in a back office / centre of excellence – e.g. data migration to align with new / global standards.
• Driving data quality improvement through interaction with local data analysts / consultants

Skills:

• Good understanding on Petroleum Engineering, Geosciences and Well Engineering concepts
• Basic understanding on reservoir data, wells data and seismic data
• Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results
• Good communications skills
• Confidence in delivering accurate data that drives critical business decisions
• Strong team-working skills with the ability to influence and motivate others
• Ability to independently, resourcefully, and creatively research and implement new solutions
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Working knowledge of analysis and reporting tools

Qualifications:

• Degree in Petroleum Engineering/Geosciences

Experience:

• 0-2 years of relevant industrial experience and Relevant academic & Project experience in a similar role/organization
