Job Description


  • To complete all work with speed and accuracy for clients, ensuring excellent quality is maintained and client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • To clearly and timeously communicate with clients and provide a professional, courteous service.

Key Duties

  • Produce, check and return own work to the team leader/senior associate/SLE
  • As required, proof or check work of colleagues to ensure that quality is never compromised
  • Understand and adhere to client s styles and processes for returning work
  • Effectively and positively communicate with the client and/or Team Leader to manage deadlines as necessary and to confirm instructions
  • Ensure any renegotiation of an impending deadline is made at least one day before the original deadline request
  • Be proactive in identifying opportunities to develop the service to clients and highlights these to the Senior Manager/TLs
  • Effectively participate as a team player and assist others as required
  • Share best practices within the department
  • Attend and make use of all training offered by Exigent and clients
  • Accurately record all time within the Exigent workflow and HR systems
  • Adhere to the shift times followed at Exigent
  • Adhere to all client and Exigent security protocols
  • Understand and adhere to all Exigent policies


  • Must have knowledge about the Healthcare Field Medical Specialty and medical terminology, case management tools.
  • Excellence in English written language/comprehension of English language
  • Basic understanding of the US law practice and the way it works
  • Basic understanding of how US insurance works
  • Expertise in recognizing US medical and legal records
  • Ability to understand and follow the client work types
  • Ability to identify missing records/information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Clear, concise style of writing, with a high level of attention to detail and superior English-language skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Positive attitude and ability to remain calm and professional at all times
  • Ability to touch-type with a minimum of 40 wpm
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and other software as required to perform tasks
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding when carrying out instructions furnished orally or in writing
  • Ability to adapt to client and business requirements.
