Roles and Responsibilities
involves predominantly being responsible for the accurate testing of patients eyes, with regards to their need for spectacles or contact lenses, and also accurate assessment of the ocular health of patients, including diagnosing of ocular conditions, management, and therapeutic treatment of superficial eye diseases such as surface infections.
Conducting refraction by following all the steps and processes required for doing the eye test.
The Optometrist must be able to effectively communicate to patients and explain their specific type of refractive error, for example, hyperopia / myopia / astigmatism / presbyopia.
Primary responsibilities will include conducting site visits to hospitals, assessing feasibility for JDF support, and maintaining regular phone and email communication with senior physicians and JDF team.
