Network Engineer Grade Staff Division Location Mumbai Desired Joining date:
As soon as possible, maximum of 4 weeks from date of offer •
Desired candidate profile for the position :
1. Educational Qualification Bachelors degree in Engineering ( > 60% Aggregate in last 2 years) Or
MCAs with specialization in Networking/Telecom with about 2 years of relevant experience
2. Specific requirement Work Experience : Minimum 1 yr, Maximum 5 yrs as Network Engineer
Job requires working in the night shift also)
• Must have had hands on experience on routers, switches, firewalls and other networking devices.
• Must be familiar with layer
2 switching and WAN routing using OSPF/BGP • Exposure to Cisco equipment is strongly preferred. Additional Certifications like MCSE, CCNA is an added advantage
3. Key Deliverables of this role
• Ensure 100% uptime for all LAN and WAN networks by regular interaction with vendors and service providers
• Day to day documentation of configuration made on various devices
• Prompt communication with users, service providers, and internal team members
• Highlight improvement areas that can improve the connectivity, security and end user experience at remote sites
• Travel to offices outside of Mumbai for implementation of projects and troubleshooting issues • Managing perimeter security equipments like firewall, IPS & WAF
4. Must have’ functional competencies
• Good understanding of network protocols and communication media like Leased lines and MPLS circuits
5. Critical personality attributes
• Good Communication skills • Multitasking and Coordination skills
6. Possible growth avenues for a successful incumbent –
• Rise to the position of an Senior Network Engineer in about 3-4 years
• Reporting relationship : The positions reports into - Manager – Systems
Structure of team The team (including the incumbent), will report to the Manager responsible for Network Infrastructure, who in turn reports to the Senior Manager – IT Infrastructure
