Role: Acquiring and nurturing strategically important selection from high quality sellers to meet marketplace objectives via a team of on-ground business development executives
In this role the person would be responsible for acquiring high quality sellers through a team of 10 business development executives to meet selection and business targets within defined guardrails. The role involves 2-3 weeks of travel under normal circumstances.
• Background in business development is mandatory – incumbent will have to be the kind who enjoys being on the field and convincing sellers to go online on Flipkart• The role would require extensive travel in the region with a strong seller/manufacturer base• The candidate will need to develop a thorough knowledge of relevant Flipkart processes and strong seller commercial understanding to operate on ecommerce• Give sellers relevant inputs to be successful on the platform and develop long term relationships with them• Candidate should be very comfortable with a target driven environment with daily reporting, calls etc.• The candidate should be able identify challenges to selection acquisition and unblock the same with the help of internal stakeholders- catalog, category, finance etc.
Desired skills and experience:
• 2 to 3 years of experience in field sales from e-commerce, FMCG, FMCD, telecom• Post-Graduate is mandatory (Tier 1 College only)• Program management skills, relationship management, interpersonal communication - ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams with an eye for detail
• Ability to multi-task and work independently and as a team
• Proficiency in Excel / Power point
• Excellent written and oral communication skills• High in energy and comfortable with a target driven environment• Past people management experience will be an added advantage
