Role Overview:
As a peer review administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and integrity of scholarly manuscripts while supporting the end to end peer review process of a leading publisher. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong academic background to make a meaningful impact in the world of research and academia.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assessment and Evaluation of Manuscripts:
- Primary task involves evaluating scholarly manuscripts.
- Evaluation carried out following established guidelines.
Integrity Checks:
- Responsible for conducting integrity checks on manuscripts.
- Ensuring adherence to publication standards.
Editorial Support:
- Provides editorial assistance to authors, reviewers, and editors.
- Offers valuable guidance throughout the publication process.
Proactive Communication:
- Expected to provide swift and effective responses to inquiries from all stakeholders including authors, editors and reviewers.
Process Reports:
- Required to prepare accurate and regular progress reports.
- Providing stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of editor/journal performance.
Desired Skills:
- Excellent English communication skills for effective interaction with all stakeholders.
- Knowledge of online manuscript submission and peer review management.
- Ability to address complex challenges and identify opportunities for customer support improvement.
- Strong teamwork abilities for both independent and collaborative work environments.
- Proven capability to manage tasks independently, from coordination to execution and supervision.
