What you’ll achieve
As a Business Operations Specialist, you will collaborate with our customers to define business requirements while providing solutions and tools that strengthen business processes. You will define objectives based on end-user needs and identify the organizations strengths, finding ways to use that knowledge to maximize opportunities. You will understand business implications of solutions and identify best practices, communicating them to drive knowledge management initiatives.
Role Overview
Looking for energized candidate with 0 to 1 years of experience in the Business Intelligence field. As a Business Intelligence Support Team Member, you will be responsible for day-to-day support, monitoring and trouble shooting of non-production and production of BI reporting applications. You will work closely with Business, Infrastructure, Support and Delivery Teams to analyze and provide resolutions in a complex environment.
Role Responsibilities
• Support, Monitor, Maintain, Trouble Shoot and Optimize the BI Applications pertaining to PAG GBS Domain. Provide day-to-day operational support
• Work with Business, Delivery and Support teams to analyze production issues in a critical, high pressure situation.
• Provide thought leadership, advice and guidance in your field of expertise
• Provide inputs in setting governance and standards related to all aspects of BI environment
• Work with the Team to analyze database operational data, identify potential issues and proactively initiate resolution strategies with other application and IT support team
• Participate in on-call rotation as needed (even during weekends)
• Participate in and contribute to the implementation of best industry practices
• Contribute to architecture and capacity planning activities
• Conduct performance tuning and capacity management
• Perform root cause analysis on failed components and implement corrective measures.
• Provide ongoing information to leadership, customers, and peers regarding enhancements, innovations and solutions.
• Responsible for following company specific systems engineering standards.
Requirements
-A minimum of 0-1 years experience in any BI platforms - Tableau, PowerBI, BOBJ, TOLAP and exposure to .NET framework
-Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, Hadoop etc
-Experience with SSIS or PowerBI is a must
-A solid understanding of MS SQL DBMS and T-SQL
-A solid understanding of Dimensional Modelling and Data Warehouse Design.
-Experience with .NET programming a plus
-Exposure to the MDX query language
-Knowledge of Sharepoint (Business Intelligence) is a plus
