Description
Associate Consultant develops code for intermediate to complex modules, participates in design reviews, conducts code reviews, creates test plans and participates in testing reviews, and resolves moderate to complex defects. This position develop, test, documents, reviews, and maintains components of software solutions for intermediate projects.
This application developer will join a team of technical professionals that work on Web Applications for the Allstate Consumer.
Job Responsibilities
Application Developer develops code for intermediate modules, does unit testing, participates in design reviews, creates test plans and participates in testing reviews, and resolves simple/moderate defects. This position is for the application support and implementing Change Requests, including new code development. It includes designing changes to applications, coding and testing those changes and supporting the quality control testing of the applications. It also includes reacting to production problems or supporting production changes where those applications are operating.
• Develop code for intermediate modules, following documentation and development standards.
• Participate and provide feedback in Code reviews.
• Collaborate with external teams on the configuration of software applications and their integration to external applications.
• Create accurate test plans, conditions, and data. Participate in testing reviews.
• Identify support issues and initiate action to resolve the problem.
• Conduct peer review and critique team members code.
• Take active part in Innovation / Continuous Improvement / Process improvement activities.
•Thorough knowledge in Core Java.
•Working knowledge/experience in J2EE concepts and application design.
•Understanding of Databases and ability to write SQL queries and Stored Procedures.
•Experience in a Java application development role
•Ability to debug the code and troubleshoot application issues
•Ability to solve problems in a timely, structured manner with strong analytical approach.
•Desire to work in dynamic and challenging environments.
•Can demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Highly enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Primary Skills
Core Java, J2EE, SQL, Spring REST.
Experience
Associate Consultant with 0-2 years of hands-on development experience in Core Java, J2EE & SQL Web development. Idea about RESTful web services. Should have good communication skills.

General - 11:30 AM to 8 PM (Week Off Sat Sun)
